Leeton Roxy Community Theatre

The Art Deco centerpiece of the town, the heritage-listed Roxy Theatre is one of the oldest cinemas in Australia. Opened in the heyday of film, the iconic Leeton landmark is steeped in history and is one of the few remaining rural Australian movie palaces and the towns finest example of Art Deco architecture.

The Leeton Roxy Theatre is a multi-function centre featuring regular movies screenings, live theatre shows, entertainment and is a versatile event space available for hire. The historic elegance, grand interior and ambiance continue to be a drawcard today.

In late 2019, the Roxy was successful in obtaining grant funding towards a $4.4 million refurbishment of the historic theatre. This project will see the theatre become more versatile, accessible and complaint whilst still protecting its heritage significance. The project is due to commence in December which will see the Theatre close for a period of time throughout 2021.
