This year the SunRice Festival will be held from 1-5 April. The five-day event provides entertainment and family activities and, most of all, a taste of Leeton’s hospitality.
Thousands of people are attracted to the Leeton SunRice Festival to taste traditional Australian community-based festival activities, including a street parade with decorated floats and vintage cars, an Ambassador Quest where the 'queen' of the festival will be crowned, farm open days, an Aboriginal art display and hot air ballooning, as well as showcase events like the Grand Opening Ball and the Ritz @ the Roxy 1930s jazz night.
This year, MasterChef finalist, Justine Schofield will be special guest at the SunRice Festival. Justine will be celebrity judge of the SunRice Community Cook-Off, where entrants will vie for the title of Mini Chef, Teen Chef or Super Chef. Another new feature of this year’s event is Leeton’s Longest Lunch, an open air dining event that will celebrate Leeton’s strong Italian heritage.
