Where is the closest backpacker hostel?
Leeton does have a form of backpacker accommodation however is not regarded as a genuine hostel. It is called ‘Fruitshack Backpackers Accommodation’ and is located on Farm 312 Henry Lawson Drive in Leeton. Michael can be called on 0429 866 965.
The closest genuine ‘backpacker hostel’ to Leeton is located in Griffith, about a 40 minute drive from Leeton. The Hostel is called Griffith International and is located on 112 Binya St Griffith. Where is the Leeton Sunrice Centre located, what is its opening times and what is on offer to see?
The SunRice Visitors Centre in Leeton is located on Calrose Street, off Brady Way.
Here you will find out everything about one of the world’s most consumed foods – RICE. You will encounter some fascinating insights into the history of SunRice and see some of the products that have made SunRice Australia’s largest exporter of branded rice foods.
The SunRice Visitors Centre is located close to one of the SunRice Milling and Packing Facilities and through a short video you will see how the rice is milled, packed and marketed to consumers throughout the world.
The Centre is open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Daily Presentations commence at 9:30am and 2:45pm. Programs are available for group tours, school excursions, as well as special interest groups and individual tours.

Where can I get internet access?
Internet access is available at numerous sites in the Leeton Shire. The most widely used venue for internet access is the Leeton Shire Library. The Library has a large number of computers which are available for use and also has a wireless internet source available if you have your own laptop to use.
Another venue which is commonly used for the use of internet is McDonalds Leeton. McDonalds has a wireless internet service which is ready for quick and easy accessibility. It is as simple as turning your computer on and connecting to the wireless facility available.
Where can I purchase tickets for the CountryLink bus service and are they able to provide a timetable for the Coaches?
Unfortunately we do not sell tickets at our Centre. Leeton Tourism merely provides information on how to buy tickets and how to receive a bus timetable. All of this information can be gathered and tickets purchased from at Traveleaders Leeton which is located on 94 Pine Avenue Leeton (Main Street). Alternatively, Traveleaders Leeton can be contacted by phone, on either 1300 308 362 or 6953 5993, as well as being contacted by email at tleaders@bigpond.net.au
Is there a town map available?
Yes there is a town map available both at the Visitor Information Centre and numerous other locations, and also a map is available for download from the Leeton Tourism Website.
